Fall Home Design Trends

As the nights turn cooler, our thoughts inevitably turn to making our homes cozier as we know we'll be spending more time inside in the upcoming months. We took a field trip to Fontaine, a home design store at 811 Johnson St On Madison's near east side, to pick owner Barry Avery's and designer Carrie Simpson's brains about the latest fall trends.

If you’re looking to decorate your new home, freshen up your existing one, or prepare yours for market, consider working in something menswear-inspired. These dyed fur pillows in houndstooth and other patterns (far right) are an easy addition. Anything animal focused is also on trend, like this mounted deer head (far left) or these adorable silver pig salt & pepper shakers (center). If you need more ideas, a trip to Fontaine will surely inspire!
