Yet Another Reason To Love Madison, WI

Madison, WI is a very easy place to live. The lakes offer beauty and activity year-round, the crime rate is low, the people are creative, smart and Midwestern friendly, the schools are good, the unemployment rate low, the traffic practically nonexistent (from my Chicago girl perspective, anyway), you can bike anywhere and the food and drink offerings are stunning. So when something comes along that makes living here even better, I fairly swoon. And that's what happened yesterday when I visited the new wing of the Chazen Museum of Art. Hotel Red Rocks Regent Street

Hotel Red, the new hotel across from Camp Randall stadium on Regent and Monroe Streets is set to open soon. Last night Brava Magazine generously hosted a cocktail party offering a first-time sneak peek at the interior. From the moment I walked in the door it was clear this is something new to Madison. A modern, swanky boutique hotel with a mix of bauhaus and retro 80's - a bold statement unlike any other within the city. And I think it's about time. Read more
