January 29th, 2014
It's January. Not only that, but it's been a terribly cold January. And we all know what that means. You've been in your house way more than any human being should ever be and you're starting to plot all sorts of renovations, or a move, or at the very least have determined this is finally the time to deal with ALL THAT STUFF.
We feel the same way. But we've noticed amongst our own team that we approach these things very differently. Some of us just jump in and start purging without a sentimental thought in sight. Others tackle one room at a time and do the classic three bag process of elimination (need, want, outta here) quietly whispering the mantra “If it hasn't been used in a year it should be let go.” And then there are those of us that need to be inspired with beautiful visions of what might someday be before we can even lift a finger (okay, so there's only one of us that falls into that camp, but since I'm the one writing the blog you'll all have to bear with me.)
In an attempt to cater to the, mmmm. . . let's say “visionaries” to be nice, we've compiled this luscious cacophony of simple, minimalistic, post-clutter photos and decluttering inspiration. So push your books and newspapers off the chair, grab one of your 45 mugs and pour yourself a cup of tea, sit back and marvel at the beauty that one day could be yours. (Feel free to ignore reality!)
First some words of encouragement:
