It’s the Great Pumpkin, Rena Ripp!

October 6th, 2015

As Linus from It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown once said, “I’ll be sitting there in that pumpkin patch… and I’ll see the Great Pumpkin. Just wait and see.” This past weekend Rena Ripp of Sprinkman Real Estate channeled her inner Linus during the Great Pumpkin Race 2015 at Shoepp’s Cottonwood Resort.

After tireless months of tending to their pumpkins, the Ripps and the Rolstads made their way to Nekoosa to finally reveal who grew the biggest pumpkin of 2015. You can only imagine the anticipation during the final weigh in…

Three of the four pumpkin growers took home prizes with Butch Rolstads pumpkin weighing over 1,000 pounds!

It was finally time for the Great Pumpkin Race of 2015. After carving out each of the pumpkins, the contenders slipped into their pumpkins for a race down Crystal Lake.

Rumor has it The Great Pumpkin Race could turn into a annual event; so, start preparing now for next year’s race.

Fall is a wonderful time of year in Wisconsin, so get outside, pick some apples and pumpkins, and relish in the beauty of this season!
