Madison is rated the best educated city in the U.S.!

September 21st, 2011

According to Men's Health magazine, Madison outsmarts all other cities in the United States. The fact that the University of Wisconsin is here, as well as a thriving medical and bio-tech scene, likely helps.  The rankings were determined by looking at high school graduation rates, U.S. Census figures on school enrollment and education levels of people over 25, number of households with student loans and the number of people enrolled in adult education classes. So maybe that urban myth about all Madison cabbies having PhD.s isn't such a myth after all.

The other top cities are:

Las Vegas, Cleveland and Miami were at the bottom of the list. To see how other cities fared, check out the Men's Health online article.
