Lake Living

Lake Real Estate.

Endless entertainment, breathtaking views and a sense of seclusion in the middle of a city.

THE COMMUNITY

With multiple lakes to gaze at or play on, it’s no surprise Madison is ranked as one of the happiest cities in the world. Lake Mendota and Monona form the isthmus, Lake Waubesa the south end and beyond, and Lake Wingra the near west side. Though each has it’s own personality, we love them all. In fact, we love them so much that we’re the top selling lake home real estate team in Madison.

THE LIFESTYLE

People choose to live on the lakes because they enjoy a quiet place to connect with nature. From kayaking, sailboating, fishing off your pier,  or waterskiing with friends,  to simply taking in the sunset while enjoying a glass of wine on the deck, we love our lakes.

LAKE MENDOTA

Lake Mendota is the largest of the lakes. At 9,842 acres it’s three times larger than Lake  Monona and also has the greatest depth at 83’ at it’s deepest point. It has five city beaches and seven additional swimming areas.

LAKE MONONA

Lake Monona has maximum depth of 74’ and covers 3,274 acres. It has seven city beaches and one additional swimming area.

LAKE WAUBESA

Lake Waubesa is 2,080 acres with a maximum depth of 34’. There are three county parks (Babcock, McDaniel and Lake Farm) that surround much of the lake along with 15 miles of shoreline.

LAKE WINGRA

Lake Wingra hosts Vilas, by far the busiest beach in Madison. It has one city park and just a few homes as the majority of the 345 acre lake is surrounded by the UW Arboretum and Wingra Park. It’s maximum depth is 21’.
