New York Times Does Madison

November 4th, 2011

Seth Kugel, the New York Times' “Frugal Traveler” visited Madison, WI recently and shared his thoughts on our fair city. Seth covered a lot during his weekend here and did a good job of capturing much of what makes Madison so well-loved: mainly, our food and drink.  Several stops on his list are on the Sprinkman Team's favorite lists, too (Weary Traveler, Old Fashioned, Lao Laan Xang, Olbrich, Chazen), and the experiences Seth had while here even inspired us to plan a field trip to the Old Sugar Factory next week.

While the article was satisfying as a Madisonian to read, even better was the six pages of comments that followed. It's clear how many people hold Madison dear to their hearts and for so many different reasons (winter not usually counted among the top ten admittedly.) Can't help but feel proud to call Madison home.
