“Buying a house with Chas was an absolute pleasure. Although our lives were frantic as we relocated from the West Coast, Chas made the process both smooth and enjoyable. Not only was Chas willing to show us nearly every home in Madison, she also did an incredible job negotiating on our behalf. Chas is a Madison local and a Madison expert and it is a privilege working with her.”

“Chas Martin delivers the unique combination of highly personalized service and consummate professionalism. She has a keen understanding of her clients’ needs, sharp business acumen, and unparalleled attention to detail. As a client, I felt entirely confident in her ability to procure the best deal and direct me through the process of purchasing my home. She was always available, always positive, and an absolute pleasure to work with.”
We were looking for a second home in Madison, and we were decidedly undecided — about neighborhood, style, vintage, price. In other words, we presented a problem for any realtor. Chas was charmingly unfazed. She made suggestions, was responsive to our wishes, was flexible and truly brilliant atidentifying houses we might like and providing us with answers to our arcane questions. For example, how many agents can hunt down the provenance of a ceiling tile and the likelihood of asbestos content? She located a wonderful house for us, but her professionalism didn’t end after closing. She recommended architects and designers and took care of the house and yard until we could move in. Throughout the process, she displayed grace as well as great good humor, She was unfailingly available even when she was on vacation. Chas Martin is a true gem. —Casey and Len Damme
Chas Martin did a fantastic job as our agent. Every step of the way, she was responsive, provided great information, and made us feel comfortable. I have to say, I had never done business with anyone who responded as quickly and thoroughly to my questions as Chas. If you’re seeking a real estate professional (who is also super nice!) to find or sell your home, call Chas! —John & Katie
I met Chas through a mutual friend. We talked about selling my house for months before the date actually came. She was consistent in her communication but never pushy. When it was time to sell, she was ready with comps and a hit list of things to do to make the sale. I had an above price, cash offer the first day and Chas managed all aspects of the transaction like a pro. She talked me through any concerns and was able to negotiate all aspects with a happy outcome. Would recommend her expertise, professionalism, warmth and work ethic 110% —Kelly

When not helping clients look past the flaws to see the potential in a house, she is: spending time at her cottage on Lake Wisconsin with her husband and two daughters; traveling as much as possible (while favorites include tropical locales like Costa Rica and Belize, she actually lived in decidely untropical London); scuba diving and snowboarding; remodeling, of course – she espcially loves tiling, though admittedly isn’t the speediest at it. We’ll chalk it up to perfectionism!; and helping clean up our lakes as a member of Clean Lakes Alliance.
What she loves about her home: “I love the before and after. After buying our home, we worked on it every day for three months. We took down walls and opened up the kitchen area which, happily, is now our favorite place to socialize. In the end, we changed the entire feel of the property. Now we love enjoying a cocktail on the deck with friends while the kids play in the yard, or sitting on the front steps listening to the UW Band practice or watching the Lacrosse team play. All the work was definitely worth it!”
